Standard picks run into trouble since the handle is flat. In this set the handle is round, gripped, and able to be rotated in a tilting motion. The design makes use of features of dimple locks against them, the wards in the lock work like guides to ensure the correct positioning of the pick. 

The actual picking tips are like 'flags' which again work in tandem with the way dimple locks work. While the pick is set nicely in the ward, perfectly lined up with the dimple, a simple tilt - a small rotation of the handle - causes the flag to turn and lift the dimple perfectly.

The flag-type picks come in both left and right orientations to tackle dimple pins on both the left and right of the lock.

There are also two incredibly effective Dimple Rakes, which glide nicely along the wards, directly under the pins. It's not unusual to be able to try these rakes before picking, and set a few pins with ease, leaving just a couple to pick with the flags.
