Multipick Lock Noob 'Monith' Advanced Lock Rake
Another collaboration between Multipick and YouTube Lock Picker 'Lock Noob'
Raking allows you to attack all the pins simultaneously, or groups of pins simultaneously, rather than lock picking proper 'Single Pin Picking', meaning you can be opening locks on day one, rather than all the study and work required for other techniques, such as single pin picking.
If you've seen the other new rake made in collaboration with YouTuber 'Lock Noob' and Multipick, the 'Abona' you'll know he's cleverly combined the famous 'must-have' triple-peak rake, with the other classic 'must-have' tool 'The City Rake'. Well the Monith combines two other absolute classics, bringing out the best of both of them, but also being more of the sum of its parts and offering more.
The Monith is a very well considered mash-up of the classic snake-rake, and the tip of the triple-peak rake. This combination means the Monith's sophisticated shape provides unrivalled kinetic ability, allowing it to rake locks other rakes will struggle with, mainly due to those hard to reach rear pins, especially when they're high, which annoyingly, they frequently are.
While some people believe raking to be a beginners technique, some of the raking patterns of the last few years have changed all that. Decent rakes will allow the beginner to open locks the first day they arrive, with very little practice or training. However, it doesn't stop there.
There's loads of raking techniques, rocking, zipping, scrubbing, dragging and more. In fact, our very own 12 piece set of rakes (Polaris - 10 rakes and two tension tools) comes with a digital guide to Advanced Raking Techniques which runs to nearly 5000 words, including illustrations. Well designed rakes are for both beginner and pro.
The idea of these individual picks is you can add one to your favourite set, or your EDC and instantly improve the quality - that is the effectiveness - of the set. With Multipick's unrivalled manufacturing specifications, finishing, and quality control, combined with Lock Noob's lock raking skills, this collaboration has produced a rake that has joined the hall of fame, earning it the 'Must-Have' tag for anyone serious about the remarkable technique of raking.
