Dangerfield 4 Piece Beginner Bump Keys Set
Schlage, Kwikset, Arrow, and Yale Bump Keys
Lock bumping is a lock picking technique where a specially cut key, known as a 'BUMP KEY' is inserted into the lock, and struck to transfer kinetic energy to the pins, causing them to jump, allowing you to turn the key and open the lock. Similar to lock picking, when you get the technique right, it's magical! And we have just the quality Dangerfield set to teach you how to do it yourself.
This is our CORE four piece set of bump keys for five-pin locks perfectly selected for beginners to start lock bumping.
Cut on four of the most common locks in the USA: Schlage, Kwikset, Yale, and Arrow - These professionally cut to code bump keys are the perfect introduction to the world of lock bumping.
These Bump Keys are for FIVE PIN locks.
Also, remember that a lot of generic and other brand locks use the same profiles as these bump keys - this means they'll also work in many other locks. But that's not all. Because so much metal is removed from the blank to cut the bump key pattern, they'll fit even more locks.
So don't restrict yourself to Schlage, Arrow, Yale, and Kwikset. If you have a lock and the bump Key fits it (without being in any way tight) it's worth giving it a go.
Bumping locks is much easier using DAMPENERS. It was the owner of Lock Pick World that invented the Dampener technique, so you can rest assured our Dampeners are the best available. We spent years perfecting the perfect Dampeners for bumping locks.
We advise against those little orange rings some people palm off as Dampeners, they're just not up to the job and will soon break.
We also recommend a BUMP HAMMER.
And don't forget, if you get stuck or need advice, we're more than just a lock picking supplies shop. We have a team of expert lock pickers in all fields who are always available to assist you wherever you are on your lock picking journey, so please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about getting the most out of your new shiny Bump Keys.
Lastly, I would advise the lock picking channel Lock Picking Legend, especially the shorts for loads of tips about bumping. He's crazy for sure, but wow can he bump a lock! You can find his channel HERE, and there's loads of other excellent information for lock pickers, especially beginners.
This Cut-Away + Repinnable Lock for practice, is a Schlage profile, meaning if you wanted a practice lock that also helped you with your lock picking, it would make the perfect accompaniment to your Bump Keys, as the Schlage Bump Key fits it and can bump it. Being cut-away, you'll gain an understanding of how keys, picks, locks, and lock bumping works! And then you can change the pins around and you've got a different lock to work with! This is a great time to learn the incredible art of Lock Bumping!
Note: Bump Hammer and lock in photographs are not included.
